Go, Dong Yeong's Comment

The Shindan History is written broadly but focuses only on what is essential; it is detailed and thorough without being tedious. This book is an excellent resource for anyone who wishes to understand history. It is a valuable text that records the comprehensive history of the Baedal people, including not only the Yo(Liao), Geum(Jin), and Daejin(Balhae) kingdoms that have been pushed out of our national history, but also the Qing Dynasty established by the Baedal people. This serves as a stern critique to the historical academia that has become anesthetized by the Pro-Colonial Historiography, denying even its own ancestors.

Was Han’s hegemony truly absolute, or should we instead recast East Asia as a multipolar system in which Goryeo occupied a central hub position?
